Wow, can't believe they didn't fix the glitch.
Well, then it isn't fun if you can get every pokémon without trading, since I go legit and would like legit traders who don't abuse the glitch.

Obviously they didn't fix the glitch. Only see the SMB glitches(Screen warp, minus world, small fiery mario), they're too wonderful to patch them, and it's not worth the efforts.

Ah, here we go fight level 255 Snorlaxes since level 140ish Snorlaxes appear in Pokémon Red on the MissingNo. spot sometimes and use Rare Candies on them lol.

The exact method depends, but you can trigger the glitch as soon as you beat Nugget Bridge. Basically, catch an Abra (but don't beat the guy in the grass by the water that leads to the Unknown Dungeon), beat the kid with the Slowpoke, then walk a couple squares up from the guy in the grass; save your game before-hand, then walk down, and before he sees you, mash start so the menu opens, then teleport back to Cerulean city. When you try to exit town, it'll pop your menu up again, just hit B, and bam, Mew.

For laughs, use Growl 6 times on the Slowpoke to make Mew level 1.

You guys think we will be able to trade Missingno over to sun and moon? I wonder what kinda of havoc it would wreck our save files with :P

Bring a lot of Pokéballs. Mew's catch rate in Gen 1 is absurdly low.

MissingNo becomes whatever the first starter is in the next gen. It goes by id.

Bank will probably just block Missingno, but it'll be fun to see a Youtube video of it.

You can already do that with PKHeX, but yeah, it'll be fun to hear what the official "formula" Nintendo uses to convert all of the Gen 1 stats to Gen 3+ is. Hopefully @Kaphotics and/or the rest of the Project Pokémon guys look at it eventually (sorry, I love IVs/EVs and such, lol).

Don't worry man. Who doesn't! It's what we pokemon trainers live for. We get up. Eat. Breed. Repeat. Max IV, perfect nature, perfect EV spread. It's nothing to be ashamed of! #WorkHardPlayHard #Pokemon20 :P

@SciresM called dibs on implementing pk1/pk2 conversion. Can't really implement anything yet until the official transfer is available.

In the meantime we've been adding legality checking logic for gen 6 mons to help identify hacks.

Gen 1 is a buggy mess in the first place. The code is such a mess that I'll be surprised if they patched anything.

As far as I'm aware, they have altered the game's code, at least in Yellow... People have found that they altered sprites to adhere with censorship changes (such as Jynx now being purple), as well as allowing the Surfing Pikachu mini-game to be available without needing a Pikachu that knows Surf. But they did definitely keep in plenty of the original game's bugs.

He wasn't that hard to catch to be honest and I did catch him 2 times. Once it being paralysed (3 balls) and being sleepy (around 5)

Which I understand, it's all part of the nostalgia too. I do wonder one thing does it work on the JPN versions of the game too? Because they are distributing mews there in their pokemon centers through in game link cable. (I was wondering maybe simply because they don't have the glitch, but I can't confirm).
