I am using the latest version of USB Loader GX in conjunction with the latest version of WBFS Manager. I have tried playing Metroid Prime on my backup copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Every time I try to go to the area where I get the Morph Ball Bomb (the room with the Stone Toad, the toxic water and the rising platforms), the game stops loading and I hear about a 5-10 second chuck of music looping in the background. I can't open any doors and I can't advance in any way. I've tried changing different settings within USB Loader GX but nothing seems to work.
I have tried loading the game from a 320 GB external HDD and two different 16 GB FDD. I get the same problem with both methods. It's almost as if the Wii stops reading the drive and the game doesn't have enough information to continue playing. In fact, this same problem has happened with a few other games as well. LEGO Batman, Scene It, and I think LEGO Harry Potter, too.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a fix for this? I'm wondering if it's my backup...
I've read forum posts about people not being able to load the game at all but I don't have that problem. Mine loads just fine as long as I choose the appropriate DOL from the menu.
