'Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater' release date leaked via PSN Store

Metal-Gear-Solid-Delta.jpg

We not only have the release date for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, but also a new trailer. This is all courtesy of Sony which updated its PSN Store to include the release date and a new trailer. The latter has been uploaded on YouTube but is not live on the official PlayStation or Konami channels at the time of writing.

According to the PSN Store listing, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater will launch on August 28.

I hear the Silent Hill 2 remake was well done, so it sounds like Konami's making these games with some interest in their financial future.

I don't mind that they're using the original mechanics, sounds, and voice recordings because MGS3 was a fantastic game from the start. As someone that left MGS2 with mixed feelings, I felt MGS3 was at least as good (in my opinion, better) than the original.

Here's hoping that the remake does the original justice.

This game has the potential to be good, I don't like re-releases/remake/remaster overall but since Konami can't do new games besides densha, at least with this one it can't go wrong, right?

Yes, sh2 is overall quite good, just need some mods to fix some fat mistakes.

Supposedly this one is also coming to Switch 2. Now I know they could delay a release for Nintendo especially if it needs to be optimized, but still I'd say this is a good indication that the Switch 2 will release by August 28th or sooner.

MGS3 is my favorite but I don’t care about this upscale. For me it always looked like this. The 3ds port was interesting — this nah.

There's something uncanny about this remake, but I can't quite figure it out...
Don't know I felt like they aren't rushing out, reports are saying it plays just like the original with updated graphics so I feel like the ratings will be good.

Yeah, agreed. I think the graphics look kind of 'soft' where, to me, MGS3 always looked very 'sharp'. The colour looks pretty washed out too, considering how vibrant the original is.
