Okay. I can do the new payload without recompiling anything? Like install NinjHax the same way the first time I did? I don't remember if I kept the old exploited save.
did you
reset save data on the browser
run browser to set it up
try and load browserhax again
are you getting an error or stuck screen of some kind
it NOT a super stable hax it can take many tries to work, that why it should NOT be you main one you use
use it to installed Menuhax or ootHax

Thanks for the heads-up. Updated from 2.1 to 2.2 using an o3DS. Thankfully my coldboot is intact as well as the image display on top. I thought simply hitting "install" inside menuhax would go back to the default(having to hold L during boot to boot into boot.3dsx(CtrBoogManager)) but that wasn't the case. It remembered my setting(which is auto-load boot.3dsx and hold B to boot sysNAND).

Hmmm, after updating I was faced with a problem. After I shut down the o3DS from emuNAND or inside CtrBoogManager(btw it got updated to version 1.5) and immediately try to turn it on, the power button won't work making me press it 3-4 times, which then turns on, but my custom image-display that gets displayed on the top screen won't display and the colours are different; dark gray mostly. But it boots. My concern is the power button not working immediately. Can anyone test as well if they updated to menuhax 2.2? Thanks.
Edit: it doesn't happen all the time, but it happens from time to time.
Edit 2: I tried to shut it down then immediately turn it on 10 times in a row by either booting into emuNAND or from inside the CtrBootManager. It worked as expected(I got a yellow screen but that's normal with menuhax from time to time). Don't know what the problem is. :|

Is it necessary to update menuhax to the latest version? I've got 2.1 at the moment, would it make any difference to go to 2.2? Improved boot rate or something?

You can check the github commits and see for yourself if the changes justify the update.
Depends on your intents, if you're intending on straight up pirating, your next move should be trying to sell it and buy a new one on a lower firmware. If you're only interested in homebrew (emulators and the like), you can look into the exploits listed in this thread.

Am I right to understand that I need to be on 9.2 in order to use pasta cfw, but can't actually do it, since the appropriate hack is now effectively locked?
Will I be able to use sky3ds or gateway at all?
