In my pc i have 2 ram sticks 2gb+2gb=4bg,in windows 32 bit=4gb.
I had a problem of no display and corrected it soon.Finded out the problem that memory stick was the problem.I inserted one ram 2g and my computer ran well,so i thought the other ram was dead,But when iinserted the other one(dead one) and it worked.Shotly i could say both rams are good, but doesn't work linked.Where is the problem and what is the problem.

My PC is 6 years old.

Hope you help.

One of the sticks is probably not working so good.
There might be timing problems when you connect both together.
Try connecting both the sticks together, but switching sockets. It may work.
But anyway, I think that proably one of those sticks is saying good bye.

Sorry i tried both and my os windows 10 says memory failure or memory management error and restarts after a 10-15 minutes.I have changed slots also.Don't worry,my rams are safe.I tried each ram single and they work perfect.
I have used one ram in 1st slot(also tried on 2nd) yesterday. And today i tried another ram in 2nd slot(also tried on the first slot).Working.
But not working linked.

Perhaps one of them has a problem, but it doesn't become evident on Windows until you connect both of them together (because of memory mapping).
Please, try running memtest86 with both sticks connected (or just with one if you so prefer).
It will do an exhaustive memory test and it will tell you if anything fails and where is the failure.
The test may take several hours (actually it will run as long as you let it run, but more time means a better test).
PS: You should install memtest86 into a USB drive or so, and reboot your computer from the USB drive.

Thanks for the reply.I needed to say this.
Really problem is not on the OS.
When i connect both rams, even the BIOS menu doesn't display and sometimes i get 3 low beep sound=ram problem.
I am sure no problem with the rams.

Really how both rams link,I want to know?

usually you would want it to complete 1-2 runthroughs.
It will randomly write some stuff on the ram and remove it again and you will see if there is an error there somewhere.
You know there are many many places on a ram and if there is only an error one one single place you will only notice the second a Programm wants to access this place which sometimes can take a long time to happen.

// display problem actually sounds more like GPU problem than RAM ....
Did you try updating all your drivers ?
maybe have a look into msconfig and just remove everything you don't need from the autostart (some Programms can cause problems as well ...)

Please leave past.It was not the GPU,i checked also with my motherboards inbuilt graphics(after removing GPU).
I will reply after memtesting with both rams.

First two rams didn't work(that means didn't give display).
Then i runned memtest
1st ram 1st slot= 1 pass no errors
2nd ram 2nd slot=1pass no errors
then,again i tried both rams,
rams 1 and 2=no errors.

I don't think so ram fault.Plaese tell how rams combine memory by circuit or what.
What can i try?
Now i am running with two rams,no issues. But when i turn off and turn on later,no display(occured this morning.runned yesterday and today morning no display.)

I still think its the GPU -.-V
How did you even "check" your GPU for errors ? else you could try another cable ?
you connect your pc to the monitor trough a GPU or build in graphics ?

Maybe the Monitor has a problem ?

do you have another PC at hand ? (laptop maybe?) than you could just install TeamViewer on your machine and give it a fixed number than you could try if you can connect to your computer even when the screen shows nothing ... that would at least reveal to you if the whole computer does not work of if you just don't get a picture.

It seems like a legit memory problem. Nothing makes it seem a GPU problem really.
There are sticks that just don't work well together. But it is weird that they worked well before.
Also they may work better in some other mobo or if you select more permissive timing settings.
I haven't messed with PC hardware for a long time, but in the old days you were able to change memory timing settings in the BIOS. Try that.

So one DIMM (memory stick) or the other DIMM works fine regardless of which slot they're in... but both together gets intermittent issues. If neither DIMM are bad, then it sounds like a motherboard fault, either a problem with the pairing or the power circuitry being unable to keep a steady flow of clean power to both DIMMs at the same time. I've heard of it happening a few times with Foxconn motherboards, although it's not something you can test without the proper tools.

why would a defect ram make the screen not appear -.- really
I am working as an IT Supporter since 2 years now and even though I am not a Hardware specialist and even thought helping from far away withouh the chance of looking at the problem myself I still doubt its the RAM

and again "how" are you able to know that it is not the GPU ? and so when you say you checked your monitor with your tv ... what exactly do you want to tell me there ? you put in a tv cable in your computer monitor ????
and having no screen on either a computer monitor or a tv used as a computer monitor it still looks like gpu ...

If I understand it correctly your are using the CPU build in graphic ? maybe try to insert an old graphic card if you have one or if you were saying you put the cable on the build in one to see if that makes a change i hope you removed the other one ....

I don't really get what he is saying BUT if he did the Memtest with both of them inserted and got no error than it is 100% not a RAM issue

@Youkai, If a system fails to POST (3 beep codes, according to the OP) then it won't get as far as displaying anything on the screen (it doesn't get as far as BIOS in that event either). Failing to POST usually means an issue with the digital backbone of the system (CPU, RAM, Motherboard, PSU).

I actually didn't see that he wrote beep sound ^^V

Well you could just search for bios beep codes ....
Still weird if memtest says they are fine !
And it cant be a compatibility problem as he said the computer is old and running like this for a while
