    Hi.
I'm planning to burn The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker(Gamecube game) on a disc and play on my Wii. Do I first need a memory card for the game to save or it isn't needed on the Wii?

The Wii while running game cube games cannot access the wii's memory, the usb ports or the sd card slot.
the only things the wii can use while running a gamecube game is the gamecube controller ports and the memory card slots, so you need something that will go into one of them, everything other than a memory card is impractical.
So yes, you need a memory card, or you will not be able to save at all.

Yes, you do need one. You could always buy one on ebay, they're like $10 on there...
