Memorable Pokemon-related Stories

I'm bored and was about to play Pokemon Black and I decided to share some of my memorable pokemon stories. I'll tell you a few to start off.

I remember when Pokemon red/blue 1st came out. I wanted it so bad, but I was always bad in school so I couldn't just walk up to my parents and ask them for it. I had a couple of cards and I loved playing the game against myself....so one of my school friends came to my house and I traded him a holographic celfable for Pokemon Red...Best trade ever.

One day I was playing Pokemon Yellow and I was fighting Brock. His Sandshrew KOed my butterfree so I had to finish it off with my Pikachu, but I knew I was going to lose cause the next one was Onix...I can' remember the exact details clearly and its hard to explain (hell the 1st part of this memory is probably wrong) but whatever happened....Brock couldn't attack me and I couldn't attack him....It was an infinite loop so since the battle was never gonna end I was force to restart the game.

I remember getting Pokemon Silver and Gold on the Christmas it came out...I played Silver, but I lost Gold before I could play it.

I remember playing platinum and having two pokemon evolve back to back...That was fun

Those are four memories I have off the top of my head. So share some of yours!!

I was the moron 4th grader that got Pokemon Yellow for his first pokemon game.
You get a pikache as your first pokemon. Effin sweet, cause thats all you use cause its cute awesome and the only pokemon you know as a 4th grader. I had like a level 15 pikachy against Brock and you learn that electric doesnt effect ground.

So i caught 5 pidgy's and had sand attacked geodude and onyx till they were blind.

Also i was dumb and KO'd Zardos and saved afterward.

I remember trading like, half of my whole Pokemon card collection for Red. It was a bad trade, but it's how I got my first game.

in 4th grade i was pissed cause i could'nt catch registeel in pokemon emerald so i threw my gameboy advance sp to the floor and it broke XDXDXD

man, i got trapped in a loop like that once, in pokemon yellow too. I was fighting Gary/Blue, it happened with his dugtrio. I can't remember the pokemon i was using. I was very angry because i hadn't save in a while, so i would lost a lot of progress. I kept looping the battle, to see if the loop would 'break', but in the end I had to reset the game too.

Did the cloning trick for Pokemon Gold. After getting about 90 of them, the cartridge completely got f***ed up and the game won't load anymore...

Decided to go fresh regarding team building in Diamond (I usually plan my team beforehand) and decided to have Kricketune in my team. I though it's a Heracross clone due to it being Bug/Fighting. Turns out it won the "Most Deaths" awards throughout the whole game.

Worst memory - Pokemon Trading Card Game (GB; game's awesome BTW) - reached the final duel and it was all down to my Charizard against a Blastoise. Decided to pass the turn so I lost. Shortly after playing it, I just realized that my Charizard had the PKMN Power where I can just put any Energy cards at him and it'll convert to the Fire energy card. I had a lot of Energy cards in my hand. Grrr....


Best memory = learning about the Mew trick for Pokemon Blue. Having Mew in my team really made me feel invincible at that time.

Hmm...
A couple of years ago I voice-chatted for about 2-3 hours with some random girl whose FC I randomly obtained using Pokémon Pearl.
It was fun, I never talked to her again though.
...
That's pretty much my only "memorable story".

my fave memories was missigno in blue and the clone cheat where you pulled the cabel out - did that on last day of Elementary school
having a shedninja as my main in one of the games due to its magic resistance - got through the elite 4 very easily with revies and a few buffer pokemon
and a 5 party zigzagoon and main in emerald i think so they gathered me non stop rare candys

I remember playing Pokemon Blue at the afternoon when everyone was asleep

My cousins and I are Pokemon fans before, too. We usually played Ruby and Sapphire

I lost 4 times, so I gave up...came back to it 2years later, beat him :3
another 1 anad a half years to reach the bit before the champion's room...I saved 'cos the battery was dying...put the Gameboy(original :3) down...we were moving house the next week, so we were packing...Pokémon yellow went...somewhere

I only found out by accident who the champion is a few weeks ago...

I don't remember any interesting ones,but I do remember playing Yellow,soon after the save disappeared.




I kept dropping it hard to the ground till the save came back(true story)

Well I can still remember playing pokemon when I was a freshman in high school.At that time I even never knew about gameboy(the original one) tbh.And so when my classmate brought his gameboy with his blue version I immediately got addicted.Btw,I only knew about GBA when I was in junior and I thought it's the same with GBC.

When pokemon cards were very huge in north america every had stacks upon stacks of cards and i didnt have any so my friends are like come on get some. I finally gave into peer pressure and bought one booster pack and the rare card in the pack was a shiny 1st edition charizard. To me i was like nice a shiny all my friends were like HOLY SHIT SO LUCKY!!! so when i went to class everyone had eyes on me even the teacher. So when lunch came everyone it slowly went back to normal my friends still were around all shocked saying im lucky then when the end of the lunch period came i was suddenly surrounded by almost every kid in school wanting to trade me everything they had for that charizard. No one was going to class cause they were surrounding me, i needed the school security and teachers to escort me into the school and they made me go home and put the card away cause i was disrupting school (i lived only across the street from my primary school so it wud be like 5mins)

Red was my first beaten Pokemon game, but Gold was the first I owned.
Gold is still my favorite, part of that is probably because of all of the hours I spent playing it past bed-time.

I owned Crystal for a short while, and, though it was almost identical to Gold, I loved it all the same.
It soon got lost, and I never saw it again. Then I moved and all hopes of finding it faded. Then came emulation.
