Long before I knew about the ROMs,I used to love the megaman battle network games.
I remember buying the first one about 8 months after a got my GBA,then i got the second the day it came out,as with the 3rd and the 4th.

    I didn't bother with the 5th because i didn't have the money,but i got the DS version.
And then a just got the ROM of the 6th.

Well that's my story of getting them, now to discuss them.

I always felt that magazines unfairly rated them, giving them 40% because they didn't follow the megaman tradition of being a platformer.
I loved them, even if the controls were a bit crappy.

    Anyone else played em?

I preferred the Star Force titles, to be honest.

I played a little of the first one... then I moved over to the second one to test it out.. and man I loved that game!! It was so fantastic!
So therefore I bought the first game... but I didn't find the time to complete it really... and now i'd have to start over... then came 3 (or 4?) with the double versions [IMG] now that's something I don't like!
SO I said: Screw this.... and haven't played it since!
But I'm going to pick it up soon enough again, as soon as I find a way to play GBA roms on DS (Like the 3-in-1.. planning on getting one!)

Hey you know I had 19 giga chips, all standard and mega, and had shadow grass. (bnet 3)
Then, I dropped my sp a few inches onot the table. It froze, then everything restarted.
Also once, I needed only kingman sp gigachip, and the battery was low. I got the chip, then i saved as fast as i could. In he middle of saving, in the second-quick saving of bnet games, the power shut off and everything restarted.
I played through that shit like five times. I knew every corner of the net, every powerup location, and every puzzle. Damn.
I whupped my friend's white version like shit to get the delta slice.
You know, when I got the blue version, everyone else got it, then i whupped all of em?
I also beat a kid who was using action replay.
LOL he had 9999 life, i had 500 and i beat the shit ota that dude!

True on so many levels. After I played the japanese version. I was like [IMG] Played the english version, again: [IMG] played the 2nd japanese game. Hit the spot [IMG]

I prefer Battle Network over the other series really. Except Zero, Zero is just awesome. BN3 was the best cause it was the longest lol.

    +1 internets to you sir!

I totally agree with it and I find that the BN series is a great RPG with a great soundtrack too.
And the Zero series is pure platforming awesomeness. Insanely hard towards the end though >_>.

I was never a big fan of the games. And the story was kind of trashy.

BN series was one of the best games on the GBA. I found 6 to be my favorite because of how fun it was overall. The fifth wasn't that bad, and I disliked the fourth. The third one was really hard so i never got past alpha. I only played a bit of the first and second, and they were meh.

And the first starforce one was waaaaay to easy, and the random boss battles were to often. I only found a random boss once, but I found like 10 of them in starforce. And i'm not talking about the ones that have a set place.

MMBN2 was my favourite on GBA, played it over 90hrs, also actually bought it. After that I didn't finish any of them though I played them all.
I'm yet to play the new 3D DS ones, anyone know what's the best one to play of the 3 versions?

The DS ones aren't even worth it. I still played them anyways. I would think that the first game is better than the second.

You must not have found everything, since you end up with 1000HP after finding all the HPMemory items [IMG] I totally owned BN3. All 7 stars, 13th chip glith, beat Bass SP, etc... All done. Me and my friend used to always battle at his house.

EDIT: Oh yeah, my play time is maxed out at 99:59
