Mega Man Online Officially Announced, Coming To PCs

Neowiz and Capcom officially announced Rockman Online, an online Mega Man game for PCs. A 3D side-scrolling action RPG for PCs. Being an online RPG, Rockman Online will have a perpetual growth system and varied stages to play. Capcom wants to make this game appeal to Mega Man series fans as well as general audience.

X and Zero are confirmed to be in the game along with a bunch of original characters as NPCs. Here’s art for both of them.

Rockman Online has not been announced for any other region. However, Capcom trademarked Mega Man Universe in North America and Europe. Could that be this game’s international name?

yay, a megaman mmo, i think i might find an mmo that i am willing to spend the same amount of time as i did with maplestory a long time ago.

But still, gonna need more details, how's the game play like, what are the other characters.

Will we be transported to an instance? and etc..

If it was an MMO, they should really let you play as characters from the whole universe, including the Battle Network series navi's like Bass and Gutsman.

I wish every game that every company sold had online play.......like new super Mario bros wii, megaman 10, super Mario galaxy and more it would've been fun with all the people vsing each other and stuff, there was a 8bit online megaman game but its closed....

Since it's NeoWiz, it's most likely F2P.

Things they'll possibly have - 'create' weapons using drops, currency (possibly bolts or metals, considering it's X, it's most likely metals), more characters.
Who knows, maybe they'd have something like battle chips, like how Digimon Battle Online has cards.
Like a support chip for swords. Go into dual wielding mode. Or great swords. That or the support chip being an add-on to customization. Similar to upgrades in some of the games.

I wonder if they'll have pit holes and spikes. And...
If it's limited to just using X or Zero for a while, having customization would be enough to hold until then. Like a suit for normal Megaman to cover up X's suit. Or have Volnutt's hair & armor as an option.

this sounds awesome, i'm expecting something like a Hunter HQ with X & Zero as S Ranked Hunter NPCs.

and im expecting an Exploration system that's simmilar to Megaman ZX/A
