i may be reading this wrong, but are you having issues getting medicat on a multiboot stick? i was able to get it on yumi just fine. it shows up other "other os/tools" in the recent yumi app. although, it also says (must use NTFS format).

my apologies if im completely wrong about what you said though :)

I hope you are well!

I use easy 2 boot to create a multi-boot usb, it is very easy to use and is used to boot in UEFI-GPT mode, as in BIOS mode, LEGACY-MBR.

It is clear that if you have a PC with UEFI-GPT START MODE, you will have to format your usb drive in fat 32 necessarily.

NOTE: Keep in mind that there are many devices that claim to be able to make their drives for multiple boot in UEFI -GPT, but in reality there are very few who later do it correctly.

I tried several and failed eg sardu, yumi, multiboot etc etc
prove easy 2 boot and it worked for me.

I reiterate the most problematic is that your usb lift in UEFI -GPT.

Greetings .

I am so confused i downloaded the torrent followed all instructions as per post 1 by OP and im having a hell of time with RUFUS i get

Getting the Error: Access to the device is denied afterwards the USB disk drive is corrupted so i have to
I then have to go into the CMD and diskpart it.

diskpart
List Disk
Select disk 2
clean

Create partition primary
Format fs=NTFS Label "Tool PE" Quick
Assign
Exit

Now i have tried this about 10 times and i get the same issues i have tried other USB drives as well.

Can someone explain what I am doing wrong?

Hi Jayro,

I Would like to ask for a tweak on the image.

Simbolic Link for the Send To folder.

If possible, this will allow access directly from the USB without needing to edit the WIM file.

Quicker way to manage some actions.

Thank you

Can you show me how to do that? If you can and it works, I'll include it and credit you in the changelog.

First, thought you used Symbolic link for the custom Programs folder.

So,
In a similar way, pointing to an outside folder but in that case, seems to be in reverse way.

* Copy content from "Shell:SendTo" folder.

* Delete, "Shell:SendTo" folder on W10 live Wim.

* On X:\\Programs or another place, create the new and editable SendTo folder and add the content previously copied.

* Create a Symbolic Link from it and put it on the SendTo path for the Admin user:
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows

I suppose it should work the same way the custom Programs folder works.

One app to do it is Symbolic Link creator, it has a Portable version:
https://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTA...ncements/Portable-Symbolic-Link-Creator.shtml

If works, maybe could be done for the Desktop folder as well.

Thank you.

This is the most kick ass USB/DVD live toolkit I've ever found. I carry it on my key chain, I use it extensively. Thank You for taking the time to put Medicat together. You basically thought of everything.

Been using Medicat for a little over a year or so now once it was time to leave Hirens, absolutely my favorite toolkit now, however I am having the issue where no matter what I seem to do to create the bootable drive I can't get the Windows 7/8.1/10 Recovery Environments to work. I have tried just medicat on its own drive made with Rufus following the screenshots, with YUMI, and now I am trying to make it with Easy2Boot so I can add a few other tools on my drive as well.
It is not a dealbreaker if I can't get the recovery stuff to work but would be nice if I could figure it out. All I am getting is that Winload.exe is missing, which I would usually download a new image and recreate the drive in the case of a regular Windows boot disc.... but I am not sure how this all goes together on Medicat so am unsure how to proceed on possible troubleshooting.
If anyone knows or has an idea I'm game, really want to get a nice E2B drive working with everything perfectly.

Cheers

Mr. Jairo, I hope you were well.

1) Are we looking forward to the new Medicat, is there anything new?

Thank you.
Yes, the new release comes later this month. Much of the new software is coming with it, which is exciting!

I've been using medicat for a little while, it's a great tool ! Thank you so much for working on this.

It may be a dumb question, but would it be possible to download/install a vpn like nord vpn on mini windows 10 ?

Unlikely, since Nord is a paid VPN, but I could try to find a portable free one, like BetterNet or something. Surely someone has portablized a VPN.

Check this, OpenVPN - Portable

The user will need to add custom vpn files.
Proton VPN works fine and some others without needing of an account.

Also,
If it's just for browsing, Opera has its own.
