Hello folks,

I am writing this message to inform everyone that MiniTool Partition Wizard does not work on MediCat 21.01. This is solved by using MiniTool Partition Wizard from the old Medicat 20.12. This is because on 21.01 you get the message that the version is not registered and therefore cannot be started.

@Jayro, thanks again for your wonderful commitment to this project.

I can confirm this as well. MiniTool partition wizard is saying it's not licensed.

I use 7-zip, but it only seems to work half the time, and I'm not sure why. But when 7-zip opens it as read-only, then I use Easy_DISM.

A 2 GB version of MEDICAT: no.
But you can make a USB key with Ventoy and put the ISOs you want up to 2 GB on it.
You could put a mini Windows 10 on it.

Not Medicat and not the newest but there is Hiren’s BootCD PE - https://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ - as well as Ultimate Boot CD - https://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html

For those who would like to start the PortableApps menu at the opening of Medicat VHD :
Just drag the shortcut as an attachment (the computer must already be started on Medicat VHD available on C:\) into the following directory :

C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Zip format due to the extension and due to the fact that the corresponding path does not exist when Medicat VHD is not started.
The letter of the USB stick where you put Medicat USB and therefore PortableApps should be necessarily the same for everyone!
The shortcut is also availablein the same directory in mini windows 10, but the letter in the shortcut path will have to be changed this time.

Hey everyone,

First a great thank to Jayro for your work which makes my life easier everyday. And thank to you all for helping the community.

I would like to have your opinion on a matter. Are you guys aware of any malware that could infect a bootable system like MediCat, as I’m sure the computer must write to it when in use ? And if it is a real risk, how could I prevent it from happening ? Maybe making my drive read only would prevent MediCat from working properly.

I got an idiot question but you said its OK for UEFI or CSM, but its not possible to got 1 key with UEFI and CSM, I need to create 1 key with CSM an another one with UEFI ?

You must know the "Utilman" hacking technique which consists in exchanging CMD and Utilman!

I made a .bat that I converted into an .exe x64 and x86 with Bat To Exe Converter which allows you to do all these manipulations without complications that you can add to Jayro's Lockpick.

Yes. Once booted, open This PC in the corner and open the USB to \Programs\Lockpick and open Lockpick.exe

In Medicat USB, I don't see any "programs" folders. Just portable apps.

I would extract the Medicat Main Partition.zip.001 file to your USB again, because I don't think it extracted everything. There should be a 'Programs' folder on there. and it's only 1:30 in the morning where I live. (USA, west coast)

Finally, I found the Programms folder in the official Jayro's Lockpick page. I extracted with 7zip the folder I was missing!

Is it possible by adding a folder of utilities to PortableApp for them to be sorted as in the folder?

On Medicat VHD :
1) I see in the parameters that windows is not activated ! Is this normal?
2) I can't change the system language either : I downloaded the French pack, put the keyboard in azerty, but windows still refuses to change the system language ! Do you have an idea on how to do it?
