This week's hardware sales
MediaCreatePieChart.php

Week 15 of the Japan top 20 brings with it a few NEW releases. Debuting straight in at #1 on the chart is The Snack World: Trejarers Gold for Nintendo Switch, with 35k copies sold. Kirby and Splatoon 2 hold onto the second and third spots, respectively, meaning the Nintendo Switch owns the top 3 spots of the chart for the first time in 2018.
Death end re;Quest debuts at #4 for PlayStation 4, but only sells 15k, and Cities: Skylines debuts at #7, but barely breaks 10k. Nearly all other software is down from last week.

Hardware sales are mostly stable when compared to previous weeks, but we do see a slight decline (4k) in PS4 and Switch units sold.

For the sake of god! Mario Kart 8 is still selling 12.000 copies a week? Good performance for something released 4 years ago (but sure it will never beat Skyrim or GTAV on this game).

Honestly I can see why, MK8D is a good racing game, wish there were more like it (I'm looking at you Sonic & All Stars, I actually liked this game too)

Not surprised snack world is selling so well considering it's the number one kids' anime in Japan right now.

Sad to see another port topping the list though. Although it does include all the 3ds dlc and a few episodes of the anime on the cart.

There were rumors the series might be localized later this year - but I think the game might be too strange for Western audiences.

Welp. MK7 for 3ds still sells a lot ( like in top 50 vid games ) in 3ds at 2018 so in conclusion, mario kart games are money making factories. XD.

switch still dominating, eh? Nintendo must be very happy, and extremely surprised, the 3ds is still selling so well. Who'd have thought a console from 2 generations ago would still be competing in sales against sony's latest console?

when the vita is don't better than the xbox despite being almost dead
Xbox sales are poor because these are japan only sales. The xbox sells well in the west more than in asia. (Nowhere close to ps4 but sells good amount to keep the xbox alive and far from discontinuation.) PSvita is a sony product and very much alive in japan, with all the fanservice games etc. But in the west, you will rarely hear someone mention ps vita. PSvita section is like half a shelf full and sits in the corner of every game stores ( just in case you like to look for some god-only-knows reason)
