    Hey, everybody.

I remember trying out a few things back in the day, but I was wondering if the homebrew scene has spawned any particularly nice media centers for the wii, streaming or otherwise.

    Suggestions?

WiiMC is pretty nice. It also can stream my .mkv 720p files from my PC it normally wouldn't be able to play (in decent quality too)
Just set up VLC-shares or this .bat file I use just drag and drop and play it on the Wii

    WiiMC.

VERY rarelt frame drops, and audio synchronization is not an issue.
    At least with movie files.

As for actual DVD playback, I don't know. WiiMC would probably give the best results, though.

Plus it plays youtube and can stream videos from your computer and other streaming websites.

Hmm.. it doesn't look too bad. But, thinking about it and considering the level of complexity that I'd like my media center to have, using a Wii as a media center might not be the best idea. I might just need to go with an HTPC.

What doesn't WiiMC have that you want?

I haven't thoroughly researched it, but it looks like it's lacking plugin support for netflix/hulu/whatever other random things I might be interested (though yes - I can just boot netflix from the system menu), and what I'm particularly interested in is streaming / syncing media across multiple devices.
