I was not kidding when I said I learned on my own, way after I left school.
Vins comes from Quebec, the only part in Canada where English is not the majority language.

Yeah, in most Latin American countries there's nothing like the Quebec situation. Most of the country speaks Spanish (Portuguese in the case of Brazil) and small portions speak some indigenous languages.

That's also something that other Latin American nations have, many native languages. But most of the population don't know about them. Again, the indigenous languages are mainly spoken in small proportions compared to the main European language.

I mean the province of Québec. It's part of Canada, but it's not the whole country that speaks French.
Kind of similar to how they are certain regions of Spain (like Catalonia) that speak a different language than the main one in the rest of the country (Spanish in this case) Its kind of cool to have that diversity, and it says a lot about the country's history.
Kidding you not... every single time I think of Canada I think about Québec.
