Hacking Maybe dumb but, is it possible to emulate burned fuses before downgrade downgrade?

I "think" what OP is referring to is a way to emulate the burnt fuses you're supposed to have on higher firmwares when you update without actually burning them to reduce the chances of Nintendo detecting such a thing.

You actually can. Apparently the way it burns the fuses is after installing an update it rewrites the boot partition and then reboots and on boot up it burns the fuses, which means if you force RCM when it reboots you can launch via Hekate and avoid burning fuses while still being able to update.

you can likely patch the routines for fuse checks just like patching sig checks or anything else.

but why... for the love of god... WHY?! :)
