R4SDHC, R4III, R4Upgrade, etc are R4 clones. I only mentioned the sdhc ones becasue i heard some cant read more than 2gbs. I just wanted to mention that along with 2gb is the max size an r4 can load.

I heard about non-SDHC 4GB Micro SD cards. Does anyone know such a card exists and if so does it work? I've handled plenty a devices to this day and I find it odd something would cap out at 2 GB flat.

But the R4 is old so....

Yeah, I recall somewhere that the R4 had 4GB capability.

it is 4gb no sdhc but i heard those where very slow and rare so right now 2gb is the highest it can go
    but 4gb in technical terms.
