Gaming marvel vs capcom 2 game help please

I just bought the game from ebay and the guy hasn't returned my email on refunding me and returning it

I have tried playing in every display possible but the character sprites themselfs are all glitched up

you can see them but there bodies are distorted

I tried but can't overlook it

I don't see any major scatches on the disk

would buying game cleaner fix this problem?

or is there any other suggestions please help

Sounds like you perhaps got a bootleg.

How does the label look? Can you peel the label off?
Try it.

If it's a real game, you won't be able to.
If it's fake, you will and you should get your money back.

I take it you are playing on 360? If so it's a known game to have problems with backwards compatability.
i.e it runs horribly.
Just browse gamefaqs to see how many people complain about this game on 360
