Gaming Mario Tennis: How to do a "nice" serve?

How do I serve a "nice" serve in mario tennis? There has to be a way to do it on purpose... I checked the guides on gamefaqs.com but i didnt find anything about it. One of the training sessions requires that you serve only serve "nice" and there has to be a way to get past it without serving randomly until getting a "nice".

to get the "nice" serve you should time your hit when the ball is at its peak or just before it falls down, i think you have about a split second to hit the ball to get it, i used to get frustrated when i couldn't get it when i was just starting playing it but i did get the hang of it. i've finished this game with all characters and power-ups unlocked. good luck!!!

You should actually begin to press the button just a split second before it reaches the top, that way when the command gets registered, the ball will be hit right at its peak. The easiest way to consistently serve "Nice" is to simply practice, practice, practice.
