Japan one is out next week & US one is out on the 19th.

It has been confirmed that there is no Wi-fi mode, just single card & multi-card multiplayer.

    What?

Dumbest move Nintendo made all year.

What, were they worried about lag or something? It's a turn-based boardgame/mini game hybrid for crying out loud! The only thing people should worry about is whether they remembered to plug the DS into a power source!

Yay! Mario Party DS is gonna own. I do agree that it's a bad move to not add wi-fi, though... Would have been nice to play with other people without having to have real people close to you, y'know?

Yeah, holy shit, I can't wait for this game to come out.

I remember the first time I played a Mario Party game. Was over my friends house and they asked me to play Mario Party.
I was like, 'PSSShhHHh, no way! What kind of stupid game's Mario Party anyway. A party with a billion marios dancing around? What a joke.'

It was then, that I realised it was the coolest game ever with a billion games. Just hope this has hotseat. I don't know how they're gonna hotseat it, but it better be.

i dont think incorporating wifi is a good idea... the game can last a while, and disconnecters will certainly ruin the online experience. there should be users who can host games and then users can join from there, instead of using that dumb autofind method in mario kart.

Hmm...I guess I DO see the point there. Mario Party rounds tend to take a long time, and if someone disconnects, it would ruin the whole experience... But still, though. It should have been added there. Even if some people would disconnect, at least you have the option to go wifi or not.

They should have at least added some kind of WiFi mode with the Friend Code system. At least you'll be facing against people you know in real life (or from various game forums you are acquainted with and whom you can trust) and if they disconnect on you, simply blacklist them.

No Wi-Fi is completely understandable. People who d/c because they are losing is getting very common (MarioKart) now a days. Also Mario Party takes a while to finish aswell, i would also disconnect if it was taking too long. In the end it doesn't really bother me, i have 2 brothers and 2 friends who have an R4, so it wont be a problem.
