try creating ysmenu again using the a07,you might've done something wrong

I did it again with a07 and it says "cannot find _DS_MENU.DAT. What now?

What gives you that error?
R4YSAuto? or your flashcart?

If it's your flashcart, it's because you didn't copy _DS_MENU.DAT (and possibly TTMenu) to the root of your card.

But for the sake of your GBAtemp account, don't. YSMenu is copyrighted material and providing download links without the owners permission would be the same as providing download links to commercial ROMs.

Well, I've been lurking here for a while but I can't seem to get this working right.

I downloaded the first link and followed the instructions with the R4.bat and copied the TTMenu folder and the .dat file and dragged it onto my root and it all works. It even added a new YSMenu skin so that's how I know it worked. The only thing is when I start the unpatched M&L rom it keeps locking at the save option. I have an official DSTT flash cart.

I'd really appreciate the help.

Ok, followed instructions (both sets). Tried both types of auto menu. Got latest YSMenu and can make the thing load on r4, and got clean rom.

PROBLEM:

Can select save file now but once selected get a black screen.

HELP PLEASE!!!! I have tried EVERYTHING!

Did you delete TTMENU.SYS from your card?
Are you using a modified/patched ROM?
Are you using the Piracy bypass code?

TTMENU.sys = there wasnt one to delete at the time as fresh formatted card

clean rom? = YES

no bypass code? = YES (as far as I'm aware)

PLEASE, WHY IS MINE THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ERROR?

P.S im setting it as firmware

That means you did something wrong

After I deleted it, a new one was made when I ran M&L3:BIS and the game worked fine.

You can't post ROMs here, but I think information pertaining to the ROM itself is fine -- like the CRC/MD5 information, filesize, etc.

OK downloaded other version and retryed and this works perfectly!!!

Must be a bad dump of the first rom. I would be interested to know if others have had this problem.

Grats on getting it to work.
It wouldn't surprise me if that is the cause of problems... It's even possible the ROM you had was patched but it was never mentioned.
