Misc Mario Kart Wii Online Dolphin in China

Hi, I followed a YouTube video to get Mario Kart Wii working online. I did the steps to get the 7 day message. The thing is, that was about 11 days ago now and I am getting error code 23918 now (access denied)

I am in China and constantly switch between my Chinese Internet, VPN router, and VPN Software. Could that be affecting it?

I have my wii with me but I'll need to take it to my girlfriends house to get the NAND dumped as I can't connect the cables to my wall mounted TV.

So should I just wait or should I try get the nand dumped? If I need to get the NAND dumped do i need to undo anything in dolphin?

Your VPN could cause trouble, yes.

However 23918 does indicate to use your own NAND, so I'd do so, but I don't know of anything that you need to undo.

Ok thanks. I'll maybe try it just using my normal Wi-Fi and if that doesn't work I'll give the NAND a try.

23918 is not the "you have a VPN" error code. It's the error code for "you don't have your own NAND".
You do need to take a NAND backup from your actual console and import that into Dolphin.
