As my original Mario Kart Wii Disc is defective (My Wii won't read it anymore, just gives me reading errors) i would like to know if i get banned when I play my USB backup online. Or do I have to buy a new original Disc to play online?

It'll be fine. Nintendo can't tell if you are playing a backup or a retail disc. [IMG]

Online is pretty much 100% safe- retail or backup.

... as long as you don't hack (in game) of course. [IMG]

I'm not interested in hacking or even cheating online. I hate those who do so. I just love playing Mario Kart Wii online.

They only ban you for cheating online. As long as you don't do that then you are safe to play it online.
