I've started collecting and ripping soundtracks from video games, but one portion of a soundtrack I can't seem to find is the multiplayer single pack music from Mario Kart Super Circuit. Any uploads about the single pack multiplayer music are normally part of gameplay footage with sound effects, or are part of a clean restoration project. Ones that I can find online are incomplete and missing the main theme of the tracks. and when I tried ripping the game soundtrack for these files, for some reason it was missing loads of songs. If anyone knows where I can find copies of these songs can you please point me in the right direction for where I might go looking for them?

Most GBA audio ripping is sappy and things to handle it ( https://www.romhacking.net/?page=ut...&level=&perpage=20&title=&desc=&utilsearch=Go has a few things, will have to narrow it down a bit thougH), maybe with a nod to those handle of games with MOD players (which I don't think is Mario Kart -- Mario Kart quite often had some custom formats or tweaks on existing formats compared to the rest of the console but that would be a step too far for a first party title). "multiplayer single pack music" might also be a separate part of the game (try to find that within the game or indeed rip it from RAM if your emulator/flash cart/whatever supports such a thing -- the multiboot game being almost another ROM within the ROM).

Alternatively if you are ripping things without an eye to restoring it later or editing things and can get to footage/a point where a male-male aux cable will do the deed then might be worth muting the sound effects to grab it that way.

I am curious about this clean restoration thing as well. https://www.romhacking.net/?page=ha...e=20&order=&dir=&title=&author=&hacksearch=Go mentions a few things but nothing on a clean restoration, and a search just ended up back in this thread.

Anyway places to go...

Many people are about ripping things these days to play on mario kart wii or something
https://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Custom_Music for a least a jumping off point. Have seen them tackle the GBA game for tracks as well.

If there is one major site on the internet wherein serious in depth audio hacking for general consoles lives it is hcs64
https://hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php

If there are two then whatever places house discussion of the various plugins people use to play back the ?sf formats would be it. Never really did much on the GBA side of things here (was mostly more interested in the DS/2sf stuff).

Everything else is generally going to be game specific.

If you have to take it from the hardware on down then

http://members.iinet.net.au/~freeaxs/gbacomp/#MOD Players (though https://knzl.at/krawall/ is probably where that will go, https://gbatemp.net/threads/unkrawertergba-a-tool-to-rip-krawall-engine-music-from-gba-games.570236/ also has stuff)
