So, a while ago, crediar uploaded this video:

[yt]Sy5Wt9LGMyc[/yt]

Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 & 2 can fully run on the Wii, but the Wavebird controller is currently not supported (as the description of this video says).
I made a new topic because it is in no way related to DIOS MIOS Lite, it's a different project.

So there's some lags here and there, but in race it seems playable.

EDIT: Crediar removed the video, but he really did make it work.

It doesnt surprise me to see its working, we were seeing a demo of gp1 already, not ingame but the intro on start looked a bit like the graphics of gp2, and that already worked pretty well, and to this point gp1 already was working ingame (irc ftw). I hope he'll finally release it now ;)

I know this is an April fools but I SO wanted this to happen :P (I know he is actually working on this, but this would have been the best time to release it)

Even if this is a joke, there's got to be some credibility to it. Clearly it's not running on an actual Triforce kit, as seen from the menu lag and disabled camera.
I just watched a vid off youtube of the game running on a triforce kit with a disabled camera so I don't think that isn't unlikely. Menu lag I can't speak to.

Has there been a demonstration of that credits mod before? If that can be done then it's pretty safe to assume that the inputs have been cracked. All in all I don't know what to think about this. I want it to be real so badly....ugh I hate April 1st online. lol

The first ever time I saw Mario Kart Arcade GP was at my local TenPin. I've always wanted to play this game and to be honest... I would rather wait, than donate €100 Euros (which I can't afford, unfortunately) to make this even possible.

... credits mod ...
Practically every arcade game includes a service menu for the cabinet's owner to change various settings, from difficulty to credit cost, etc. It's the same way machines are put into "free play" mode at kids' birthdays and such. Generally it's accessed through a simple button inside a locked section of the cabinet.

I'm familiar with service menus and whatnot, I'm saying that I've never seen a game that can input 99 credits on boot, it has to be some type of hack. Which brings up the question, why not just enable freeplay, unless he hasn't gotten saving to work, which makes sense I guess.

Looking great, well i dont think that anything of this will see a release sometime soon.

you could send a donation to crediar and ask for it.

And OP, this is fully related to DML bc this in fact is a dml ;)

I meant DML as a GameCube SD loader, I know that this is similar as it still replaces the MIOS (judging from the start of the video), but this is a Triforce SD loader there. ^^

I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
