Mario Kart 8 UK - Saved Game Import Not working.

Hey guys,

I am having trouble trying to get the Mario Kart 8 saved data to work from here:

whenever I load the data via save mii - it just freezes the game right away I have the European English version. I have tried:

- Downloading the US version of the game and importing the US saved data
- Delete the saved games, go back in create fresh data and then try to re-import the data
- Made sure I copied the common folder over

any other suggestions to make this work? I read online that this is the one game that can be extremely temperamental to work but would be keen to know if anyone has any suggestions on this thanks;

I’m having the exact same issue, I think there was a pc tool to dump and restore your saves, you could try that and see if it works

yep i managed to get donkey kong and mario world imported
but mario kart is just a PITA!

Also super smash bros didnt work for me

If you're using SaveMii, try deleting your old save before writing the new one. That saved my hide when I had to restore my backups.

Found out that removing the save, launching the game and using the regular savemii without importing the common folder worked

No luck

Which download r u actually using? Is it the uk game version?

Make sure to use this updated version of SaveMii

Mario Kart 8 has issues Restoring saves, often hangs the WiiU.
Steps in SaveMii:
1. Pick a user in "Select Wii U user" and restore that first.
This will restore the "user" folder only.
WiiU might hang and need to be reset.
2. Then select "Restore" again.
options:
"Select Wii U user"
Set "Include 'common' save?" to "YES".
Start backup. This will restore the "common" folder.
ALL DONE!

Yes, I’m using the eur version in an eur console, and used savemii (non-mod) and mocha, deleted the save, opened mk8, run mocha and savemii and selected my user and the only user in the save, copied the common folder too, then go to system settings and delete only the shared data.
If it doesn’t work I could share my save and see if it works

Also, savemii mod doesn’t work for me, it freezes, so don’t use it, use the regular one

I looked on the advanced ftp app but it just doesnt let me go into them files on the nand at all
What a mess im not entirely sure i will be able to restore my own save here
But to be honest not the end of the world

At least i didnt take facebook downlol
