ROM Hack Mario Kart 8 deluxe mods not running

Hello All,

So I'm using the latest SX OS (2.2.1) and I added the appropriate folders for the Mario mods (Titles> 0100152000022000>romfs>*mod*) and nothing happens when I boot the game. My buddy did the same thing and his mods are working. Any idea why they wouldn't work for me? I am also using exfat.

Figured it out! Was not playing nice with exfat. Formatted to Fat32 and all is working.

I wish I could figure this out. I have atmosphere and I put it in (ID OF THE GAME "MK8 Deluxe")>romfs>mod folders here

I have atmosphere, reinx, and sxos. ive only tried atmosphere tho. I have included a screenshot if that helps. I have read online through different sources that all i have to do is run the game on atmosphere and it should work yet it is not for me. Also my sd card is formatted to fat32.

Hi everyone I am having problems to installing mods on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch.
May be some can help me to install.
I am using atmosphere 0.13.0 on firmware 9.2.0.

Trying to install the mod, I did the following:
copy Yoda mod on SD:/atmosphere/titles/0100152000022000/romfs/driver/AnimalBoyA.szs run atmosphere, run mario kart but not work
and I tried copy too on SD:/atmosphere/contents/0100152000022000/romfs/driver/AnimalBoyA.szs and not work too.

Any help ?

I'm having the same problem. I'm using atmosphere and I installed all my mods in titleid>romfs>mods and when I boot up atmosphere and run the game it's just vanilla mk8d. Anyone find a solution to this yet?

Yeah. You have to dump your game, then make sure to make a backup of it, then make another backup but delete all of the files in each and every folder. Remember not to delete the folders themselves though. Then move the MK8D skeleton (dump with all files erased) onto your sd card and then you can install whatever mods you want onto your game.
