ROM Hack Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Can I get better FPS in multiplayer?

When my mates and I play multiplayer in docked mode on one TV. The frame rate is disapointing. I've tried the over clock for docked mode.
There are only 3 of us is there any way to boost the FPS? Disable the 4th screen MOD?

I can check some default stuff if it's just switching between 30 and 60 FPS.

i tried playing and its really laggy 4 player. this normal? its fine to run but can drop MASSIVELY on the first track
