ROM Hack mario and luigi dream team question

Hey, I do believe this should be correct place for this. Just wondering with Dream team, when i extract the save file and mod the 001 file for say the beans i want. Is there something that needs to be done to get this modded save file to be read? I use hex editor neo for the save file which i dont think should affect anything.

You can always make a backup of your save data, and then edit it with your Hex Editor, and see if the edited version works. If it does great, if it doesn't than you have the backed up save to fall on

I did use the savefileeditor to get the save from. I did edit what I needed. When I used the editor from homemenuhax to inject the file it didnt have any of the changed info on the game
