does the leaker state what firmware he on ? 18.1.0 or 19.0.0 ?

Considering when firmware was 19.0 was released and when the game was produced onto cartridges, its almost unlikely for it to require that firmware.

I'm not sure why people debate for days sometimes weeks if a game has leaked or not.

That's not how the internet works if it leaked and there was even one source that had it and distributed it on the internet, we'd all have it on our Switchs right now because it would spread to all the regular sites. Since we don't it's pretty simple it hasn't leaked. Is there someone in the world that installed it on their CFW Switch? Perhaps, but unless they distribute it it's not really a leak.

That's not what I meant, I'm saying this thread is obviously talking about a fake leak and there's no reason to speculate for days if it was real or not. Look at the start date of this thread, are you playing Mario & Luigi Brotherhood yet? No? Well that should tell you it was a fake.

Your logic is that it's only considered a leak if anyone & everyone has access to it online, which isn't even close to what a leak is.

I literally said in the post someone may have the nsp installed, if it's private access what good does it do anyone on this thread unless someone here is in that group? None.

And what is your evidence that this is available in private access? Anyone can use paint.net to make an image call it Mario & Luigi Brotherhood use a different game or homebrew app and install the nsp, doesn't make it real.

I mean, in this specific instance I wouldnt call a few random photos a leak

These private groups dont contribute much of anything because they like the few days worth of attention they get from this. Once the game files get shared, they will quickly be forgotten about.

Calling a photo of the main nintendo switch menu a leak is a massive stretch. If it was game play it would be a leak yes. Or the game itself.

Any reviewer or reviewers family could easily taken the photo and put it up or as I think, its a fake with RomFS to change the picture.

Usually the private leaks are the very source of the leaks that end up in public. (Generally something leaks onto private trackers or groups from where individuals proceed to spread the leaks to public trackers and other download locations.)

Without private leaks most things wouldn't leak to us the way that they do so I'd say they're everything but pointless., no?

After scouring the usual ROM sites, I can confirm that the game isn't leaked to the public yet (at least not on those sites), they usually redirect to some other game when you go to download it. I assume that will be changed when the game is actually in the wild. I'll give it a week or two. Idk how likely it is that a game would leak a month early.
