ROM Hack Mario and luigi bowser's inside story: help needed

I need a little help here, since I didn't manage to find a working patch\fix by my own for the US version of Mario and luigi bowser's inside story

I know it came out a long while ago, but that should make it even easier to find a patch\fix that works for the original R4 (1.18), at least that's what I thought.
Since I am not buying an other flashcart or installing YSmenu or anything similar, I would be very happy with just a link with de working patch\fix and a description how to use it, since I'm a total idiot at this.

I just did. You can't run it without YSMenu. Besides, what's wrong with YSmenu?
