"An American judge has been sentencing noise violators to listen to Barry Manilow as a civil penalty.

According to The Washington Times, Judge Paul Sacco says his original punishment forces noise violators to listen to music they don't like at high volumes for one hour.

Speaking on Denver's KUSA TV, Sacco said: "These people should have to listen to music they don't like".

The judge believes the punishment has cut down on the number of repeat offenders in Colorado."
