WOW!!!!!!! that looks like an AWEFUL GAME! lol ban it in the USA too I wouldn't even bother spending a 10 cent blank on it
I dunno, I think NZ has been pretty good with gaming censorship, I don't recall if manhunt got banned (I do remember playing, and thinking how shit it is), but I do recall many games advertising the fact they got banned in AustraliaNow, how are we going to get at this game?
Where can it be bought from? Is a PAL release totally off the cards now.
So far it has been banned in the UK and Ireland, plus we can pretty much say that Australia, New Zealand and Germany will follow soon.
That leaves the rest of Europe that could possibly carry it, unless it is banned by those countries.
Also it hasn't yet been rated in America.
Guys you really hurt me there....
All those comments hurt....
Everyone is scared about manhunt not coming to England and the rest of Europe. People from England wonder if the French and German versions have English language on them. You really hurt us, Dutchies.
The Dutchies, unless French and German, are clever and most speak fluent English (and often even a bit of German/French). Therefore all games in Holland are published with the 5 languages usually with standard language as English.
So don't fear, us Dutchies are here!
If this does get banned by ninty, what are the chances it'll get leaked? my only experience of this sorta thing was Thrill Kill on the ps1, it got pulled when EA tookover the original publishers and i think the ppl who created it leaked a beta on the net. Im of the opinion that sorta thing wont happen these days, but copys of it are obviously knockin about

Did I miss something? Nintendo is not banning anything here, it's the UK government banning the sale of Manhunt 2 in the UK.

Yes, the game has received a Adults Only rating in the US by the ESRB and Nintendo and Sony has commented saying they don't allow AO games on their consoles.
Free speech is the right to expression, and a game is a form of expression. Too bad that the UK doesn't have that ):Not good. Even if it goes too far, banning a game like this is wrong and pretty much viotates the human right of free speech. I'm not sure if the UK has thier own equivatent of America's 1st Amendment which basically prohibits the banning of any media. Banning a game goes against that.
Isn't free speech more linked to like having the right to express your opinion or something? Manhunt is not really about expressing an opinion is it? Also there's no way any kind of media is allowed just because of the first Amendment, what about a game in which you have to rape black children, I suppose that would be banned by some law...![]()
See this BBFC study for what effect this really has: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/news/stories/20070417.html(edit) BTW, the difference between violence in videogames and violence in movies is this: in movies you watch someone else while in games you act out the violence. That's why all the grey-haired citizens are against violent videogames for kids.
Be honest, you know that this game is destined to be played by little Bobby down the road. We all know that '18 certificate' means fuck all when it comes to games (the amount of 10 year-old British kids who own San Andreas is staggering)
