This news is related to my country and it gained a lot of momentum although its quite old but the force is still there.

This is originally from me though there are some websites that attest to it.
My opinion is that this man is not true in his words. The reported cases of being cured that I have confidence is from a person (with a group) that went by helicopter. When he tested his sugar level at home, it had decreased to the non-dangerous level. later on he stopped his medication and the number has increased back again. Another case is in our government hospital (very reliable) were a lady with AIDS was very serious as she drank a cup and stopped medication only to find herself becoming worse. Now if it truly is a "cure", why need further medication?

Source - Just for the sake of it

They say the mind can often overcome the body's limitations. Sometimes, the world just needs a placebo effect.

    New discovery! Placebo!

To believe in Jesus for a medicine to work... This is fake.

This. I find most of my troubles, whether physical or psychological, can be attended to by any of the following.

    - A decent RPG or Zelda game to take my mind off it.

    - Focussing my mind. Meditating, if you will.

    - A bacon and cheese sandwich.

    - A good looking girl.

Thankfully with Yuna now my official girlfriend I have access to all of these at any time, making me damn near immortal.

It is impossible for something to cure both AIDS and Diabetes at the same time. The first is a viral infection and the second is either a) An autoimmune disease (Type I) or b) resistance to insulin due to various mechanisms (Type II).

It might lower blood sugar, but big deal, lots of things lower blood sugar. It doesn't fix the underlying problem.

The placebo effect cures everything [IMG] It's fake we all know it but it is vital as a cure for diseases as it gives the poeple a moral boost you know. Being in a positive mood really helps a person overcome a disease, I just think that this jerk shouldn't emphasize its a full cure and advise poeple to take medication so that poeple dont end up dying.

well according to me, many people here are uneducated (atleast not to the required level) and hence get fooled by this easily

although there was a comedy drama criticizing this thing whereby a person who was in money problems and was being told by his wife to do something and not be lazy. The guy dreams one day that he owed someone money and when he woke up, he started this facade that the tree near his house has a cure.
I say this is bad criticism but the conclusion is correct that it's a lie.

some people go there to drink a cup every single day. I heard one of his interviews and if i heard correctly, he said whenever he wanted to communicate with God, he used to be able to. Infact, he was also told the price at which he has to put the cup at.

the guy claims to cure more diseases than the 2 mentioned above, but i mentioned two because its prevalent in our country
our resident doctor, mysticwaterfall would have even more criticism after this.

PS - aminemaster, its funny that u chose a PS3 to throw your anger out on. Got PSN? [IMG]

Actually, I'm a 2nd year pharmacy student, but it certainly doesn't require much in the way of health/science education to see how absurd the whole thing is... I glanced at the source, it was just painful to read with all the inaccuracies.

TL;DR - Man talks bollocks and and cons everyone with false hope.

I'm not allowed in my old primary school any more for writing something similar on the back page of the school bible.
