    From NME.

Can't say I liked him as a person but it is hard to deny that he has had some impact on British culture.

    Wha?! [IMG]

    When did that happen.....
Guy who did the Greatest Rock'n'Roll Swindle in the history of music [IMG]

He was an ass, but in that generation, who wasn't.

    RIP Malcolm

Merge threads Hadrian, do some work, don't be lazy and spam the boards all the time [IMG]

And I share the same opinion, not that I liked him very much, but he did some incredible things for the anti-culture I live. [IMG]

    RIP Malcolm

This morning mate. [IMG] Gutting really. Anybody who could steal THAT much dosh from EMI and Virgin is a legend! lol The fact that he managed to make a killing from a record company without actually having to release any music is genius! I don't think we'll ever see another manager like him. Like you say, he was an ass but who wasn't at that time. And if he wasn't such an ass he definitely wouldn't have been able to create the Pistols!

No doubt that he was a great great manager. And one of the biggest "thiefs" in the music industry.
But he'll be a big name in my eyes forever, just because he did so much for the punk genre, including "creating" of Pistols..
