As far as I know, all released versions of SDCafiine only affect RAMPID 7, which is things like games and the Wii U Menu and the like. Apps that multitask with RAMPID 7 (the Internet Browser, Miiverse, Friends List) are RAMPID 4, while the home button menu has a dedicated RAMPID 5. (see WiiUBrew)
Thus SDCaffine probably won't affect the home button menu because it's on its own RAMPID, and has different (unpatched) memory to the game.
I thiiink Aroma might be able to apply patches to RAMPID 4 too, though aside from not being released yet it still doesn't help with this.

Hello sorry I'm a little late to the party but I use aroma and when I recently got nusplii to install some dlc, i found a menu in nusplii that showed all the downloaded apps and games on ur nand and when I scrolled down I saw 2 interesting lines, Home menu OSv10 and Home menu OSv9 so I think OSv9 is the old one so it might be possible to overwrite the default one to OSv9 but I haven't tried it yet because of a potential brick

Before Messing with the home menu, I would definitely recommend to install ISFShax first as a brick protection
