I'm having issues with controller mapping on the switch lite. I can't bind anything to the 'a' button at all despite it working to navigate the configuration menu, and the software seems to have the buttons flipped as if it were an Xbox gamepad.

I have an issue with controller mapping on the switch lite. The button layout is treated as if it were in an Xbox controller, and the 'a' button cannot be bound to anything unless I reset to the default controller configuration (which, again, doesn't match with my layout.) Is there a fix for this?

Edit: sorry for the double post. I'm brand new to this platform in case you couldn't tell.

Try holding A before you press the mapping or try mashing it. It will eventually work.

yep, same here. Played a little bit yesterday (until you reach the town at the very beginning), and almost all sounds effects and music are totally broken :sad:

  • no music (in town, when you reach the fairies, etc)
  • mojo spinning sound effect is 100% wrong (but pretty funny :moogle:)
  • Tael and Tatl make strange sounds
  • etc.

Awesome work! Finally, I've never actually played through MM and it's literally because I have been waiting for the native Switch Port. Can't wait to try this out.

Same problem here, went to check the audio shuffle pool management menu in the audio editor and nothing shows up under the sfx, voice and instrument tabs. Looking for a fix atm, would love to play it tomorrow at work.

Amazing release. Can we get rumble and gyro support for this?
It uses SDL for controller input, and unfortunately for whatever reason SDL for Switch doesn't support gyro and rumble. That doesn't make it impossible, just more work, an alternative input source would need to be added that uses native libnx controls for Switch.

Someone previously did this for an older version of Ship of Harkinian, but they revamped the project's input system since then and it hasn't been redone for the newer system. I've been hoping to have a go at that myself if I have the chance, but I'm quite bogged down in life stuff at the moment and don't know my way around the project that well. AFAIK 2S2H uses much of the same codebase, so hopefully the same work would apply to this too. Idk if OP would feel like giving this improvement a go, or any other willing dev, it would be much appreciated.

Am I the only one having issues with the audio? it feels like it's missing channels or something?
Maybe it has to be a specific build to generate the mm.o2r to fix it?

hmm im having a problem where it constantly seems like my left stick is holding diagonal down right. I don't have stick drift and have no problems like this in any other games, and setting the deadzone doesnt seem to do anything as this also affects ui menus.

Having a blast with this and it looks and runs great with the reloaded texture pack. I did have a crash "game quit unexpectedly" shortly after the cutscene of woodfall temple opening.

Same for me when using the HD texture pack. My game crashed when getting the Don Gero Mask.
So I turned off the option to use alternative assets and progressed a bit and re-enabled the pack

Excellent port, though I do have a question: Is there a way to remap the buttons? B is A and A is B both in this and Ocarina of Time (I know your port is simply MM, but I just wanted to show that it's an issue for both).
