Hacking Majora's Mask & EmuNAND 9.2 ?

Hey how did you inject your 9.2 nand backup into MT card emunand? By hand ? Emunand tool does not see my MT Card emunand partition.

you can either A) hex edit your SD card so it reads GATEWAYNAND instead of MTCARD_NAND, or B) backup everything on your SD, use the gateway launcher to format emunand again then you will be able to inject using emunand tool

A) Did it for me, thanks . Although I forgot I got my FW# wrong, thought my 3DS came with 8.1 but actually was 6.2. So I injected 6.2... which does not help me play MM.

I'm gonna have to update sysnand using MM cart, backup and downgrade again then inject the 7.1 into Emunand -_-.

That's a roundabout way of doing things. Just update emunand with the retail game update. You can do this two ways, use an earlier version of GW launcher and boot into classic mode and it will prompt you to update using the cart, or hold UP while launching the game in newer launchers and it will prompt you for the update(I think that's the keypress)

Damnit. I'm new here so I just assumed MT patch forced bypassed retail updates altogether.

That's great. Although I've already started the cumbersome process describe above so I'm screwed.

Safe to assume OFW/Gateway will convert my old save to new encryption and not wipe it as it did the other way around?

Downgraded Sysnand back to 4.5. I also use the CFW on another SD.

If I inject a previous 9.4 EmuNAND backup into my MT-Card EmuNAND, will I lose any of the titles that I downloaded from the eShop since updating to 9.5 (like Flipnote Studio, which BTW doesn't work on MT-Card 9.5 due to the launcher not being designed for 9.5 and there being issues. It should work on 9.4 though, if I can inject my old EmuNAND and still have Flipnote Studio on it)?

Your backup nand is different than your MT-emunand. So yes, everything will revert back to the way it was when you created the backup.

It works fine for me in GW emunand, not sure whats holding it back from running, if its an actual card than it should be ran in classic emunand gw mode, unfortunately mt-card does nothing like, right?

Huh? You can't run the retail game cart in GW classic mode unless you have the GW cart, however, you can run it in MT classic mode without the MT cart.

GW Classic mode is made to run retail carts - No way to have a GW cart in the console while trying to run a retail cart....

Well technically you can run retail games in GW classic mode without a GW card, but only if your emunand is 7.2 or lower and the game doesn't use 7.x encryption, to use 8.1+ emunand and 7.x encrypted games, the gateway card needs to be inserted when booting into classic mode, after it's booted up you can remove it and use any retail game in classic mode

Ah, gotcha. Yet another reason I'm not bothering to downgrade! I would hate dealing with the 7.x encryption shenanigans.

How do I setup mt emunand 7.1, do I inject a 7.1 backup on emunand with emunand tool or is there another way to launch mt launcher from 7.1? Thanks a lot in advance
