    Hey guys,

i hope you can help me out.

My friends pc broke down (Mainboard).

He wants to reuse his CPU which is a 4820k i7 . .

This Cpu has a 2011 socket. Its expensive and not produced anymore.
Might you help me with finding something or a shop or some kinda model which is still sold? He might wanna use SLI as well. .

Ive found this board here at alternate.de ASUS X99-M WS/SE .
    https://www.alternate.de/html/product/1247467

Its declared as a 2011 socket board but i highly doubt it, since it can fit Haswell-E processors . . and its an x99 board which should be 2011-v3 . .

The 4820k is an ivy one though. .

    Im really confused

edit: Im from germany, would be nice to have it somewhat local ~

You need to find x79 boards, x99 uses 2011 v3 socket not compatible with 2011 cpus

I know this is an old post but (unless you can get a good second hand board cheap) it would be better to sell his CPU (about 200 Euro used) and buy something like a 4790k and a new motherboard.
