Items descriptions are pretty much the same as Platinum though. But Pokemon descriptions definitely can't be copy and pasted.

I just noticed this but when you highlight totodile (selecting the starter) there is a little leftover maybe? it says "This is thex01DE Water Pokemon TOTODILE." and the cyndaquil's "Fire Pokemon Cyndaquil" isn't highlighted in red while the other two are highlighted their respective types color.

Weird thing about Pokemon descriptions, is they're very similar to the ones in Yellow. So they're not ENTIRELY new.

They seem to be a mix of descriptions from Gold, Silver and Crystal.

Heck no. But one thing I've figured out from going over the Japanese descriptions is that the descriptions in Soul Silver, for all Pokemon in Generation II, are the same as in the original Silver.

This basically means that unlike Kazo's cut and paste patch, my patch will have accurate descriptions and not the incorrect Platinum ones.

No. They're different than the Platinum ones. I have the US version of Diamond and have looked at the Platinum descriptions on Bulbapedia and the HGSS ones are DIFFERENT.

But I'm not necessarily TRANSLATING them, but for Soul Silver, I'm cutting and pasting the descriptions from Silver, as the Soul Silver descriptions are the same.

So yeah, I'm not cutting and pasting from PLATINUM simply because the descriptions for certain Pokemon are different.

For instance this is the Platinum Spearow description...

It flaps its small wings busily to fly.
Using its beak, it searches in grass for prey.

This is what the Soul Silver one translates to...

Eventually yes, but for now, do to complications(Like different descriptions), only Soul Silver will have descriptions.
