Honestly, I would much rather have the first release have a good bit of playtime, around up to the Elite 4. I hope the best for this patch... If you're really done with Azalea Town, I'm hoping it will be done (or at least close to being done) by the end of October/beginning of November based on the progress shown. Keep up the great work WataruKun!

EDIT: And now there's a release. I'm personally going to wait on the patch until more is done, but still keep up the good work!

Easy to say that when you don't know the amount of text in the game.

Isn't there about 3300 pages of text? I understand it's a lot of text and that's a LOT of time and hard work, It's just with the way the progress has been progressing, I was just trying to think of how long to expect. I'm not trying to rush you or anything

But seriously, you are awesome for doing this and I just hope you keep up the great work.

So it wont be compatible with a sav from any other pokemon soul silver rom.

Saved using Magnius' patch + save file from Raqib's patch.

Loaded it again using ROM with Raqib's patch = working!

I think it's because I'm using AKAIO and with AKAIO, everything's sorted. Not sure...

POKEMON SILVER PATCHING (FOR DUMMIES)

Note: Tutorial is also for Heart Gold. Just Use follow instruction, but instead of Soul Silver use "Heart Gold".

1) Go to the first Page and Download the Latest "Patch" :

PAGE ONE (PATCH LOCATION)

2) Open the .RAR file with "WinRAR" and extract all it's content into a "New Folder" folder.

3) Make sure the following is in the "New Folder" folder :

4) Double-Click "xDelta GUI.exe" to run it.

5) The GUI should open/load up looking like this:

The GUI should be self explanatory.

6) Click the [ Select Patch ] button and choose the patch file, "PokemonSoulSilverEnglish"

7) Then Click the [ Select ROM ] button and choose the ROM file, "Pokemon Soul Silver (J).nds"

8) Now Click [ Apply patch ] and wait for few seconds for the ROM to patch....

9) Go back to your "New Folder" folder and you should see "Pokemon Soul Silver (J)_patched.nds"

10) The file is shorten to (124,818 KB) b/c it was trimmed. Also it is patched with "Anti-Piracy" to stop the freezing. Enjoy!

For the one who can't get the patch to work.

Will I used Xdelta GUI, it takes some time before the actual patched rom appear. When it do, it's 0kb. So wait again for it to change to 121 XXXkb (I don't remember who big it is and I'm lazy).

im using AKAIO 1.5 and have a save file from KAZO`s patch(which has same id as clean rom )

I checked with cheat code editor and because tha patch is trimmed it changed the id.

i dunno if it will work. Il be able to try 2moro when i can go back on my computer.

anyone has kazo`s save with this patch?

Haha, actually I found it like right after posting, my bad, but thanks. Oh, and it isn't working for some reason. I have all of the files in the appropriate locations, with no spaces, yet errors keep popping up.

I'm having a problem using the xDelta GUI.exe. When i double click i get " The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Not sure why i'm getting this...I'm using Windows XP service pack 3 by the way.
