ROM Hack Magnius's Pokemon Soul Silver Translation

hey there,
If it isn't time consuming can you put up your progress and what needs to be complete like the other pokemon patches. they show the percent of what needs to be completed and what doesn't. If it takes too much time then don't worry. I'd rather let you finish your patch then just post your progress.

What's you first patch going to contain?
How much time does it take to actually translate a whole city in english? is it easy?

Anti-Freeze AR Code for ya, Magnius. 020DD9DC E0200000. Use it alongside Rudolf's Patch I think. Works better on SS, but HG is playable, just freezes sometimes. Thank you for putting so much hard work into this, Its greatly appreciated, and your patch looks like the most dedicated one yet. I hope a release happens soon, because I just got to Goldenrod and man am I confused, haha.

I am not going to lie, I do not know Japanese at all. The way I am doing the story translating is playing both soul silver and crystal side by side, and when something important is said I look for it in the Japanese text and replace it with what is said in crystal. I did tweak thinks because they are obvious difference in both games. Such as getting the pokegear after talking with elm.

I think Magnius/Watarukun is doing an amazing job, far better than anything I could hope to do.

Well, sure it would be nice, but they force us to wait too long. I imagine its because they need time to English dub the Anime. Some of us are impatient because Gen II was so great. Platinum didn't come close, IMO. Another thing is that for many this is a hobby, they love diving into code and translating, the rest of us are just benefiting from it. I can wait for something like Kingdom Hearts, or Dragon Ball Kai, because we only have to wait two or three months for the official version. Spring? No way.

Then dont post in this thread at all, we want translation, thats why we encourage the translator (Magnius) to keep up his work, and we don't really care about people like you that come and say "But the game is going to be out in 2010", "I dont want a translation" and so on, because Magnius wants and is going to translate it for us.

And for the other guy talking about rivalry: LOL dude, there are different degrees: Raqib12 has translated everything but the story line so far, which is good, saved some time on searching thru bulbapedia the meaning of the japanese names. Kazo admitted he was just copying the Crystal game's dialogs. So it just comes down to depending on Magnius and his translation... Hope it comes soon enough.

First of all. He's right don't post this. You don't belong in his post. Secondly why are you even in this thread in the first place? I would like to wait for nintendo's translation as well but 8 months, that's nearly a year! For me personally I am busy next year so I might as well download a patch now.

Second post. If Magnius creates a complete patch then he will come out on top! What he's doing takes a lot of time and effort to complete it.

so long ago did i play gold version on my Gameboy Color i can't be expected to remember all of it!.
since this is a full on translation this will be a great patch can't wait for it... or well can wait for it rather than 8 or so months for Nintendo's.

Im using kazo's patch and i never saw a man there. Is he blocking the way?? if so you have to do something before he disapears.

Did you get a call from oak and then meet his asistant in the pokemart???
