Will The Magnet Trick Work on Deleting The Save?
Magnets haven't worked like that on memory for years. And if it did do anything, I find it hard to imagine that the save memory is the only chip on the cart that would take damage from a magnet.
I don't have the game, but I suspect you could use an R4i SaveDongle (or similar/home made tool) to write a "corrupted" save, forcing the game to start afresh. Or upload a save file which is 128kb of just 0xFF, assuming the save file size is 128kb.

Why not remove the cart while saving, this should corrupt the data. Next time you play, no doubt the game will notice that the save is damaged and delete it.
