Yeah, so I've always been a Magic the Gathering fan but my interest in it just started to come back after I learned a lot of my friends played. So I was wondering if there's any good sites for buying Magic cards? My "wish list" would be a site that you're able to essentially build a deck on and buy it. I don't want anything insanely expensive either. All help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    EDIT: Typo.

There used to be a site I bought like 300 commons for like 2 bucks, but it doesn't exist anymore [IMG]

Man, I haven't played Magic in like 15 years. I think I have some of the power nine in a box in storage somewhere. Is this game still popular?

OMG Someone said the Magic word [IMG] MTG. Either check out magic online or go to a local shop for bulk cards and buy specifics off ebay or you can always try alahkazam (links section) (thinks that is spelled right but google it to be sure they can certainly point you in the right direction. If you get on MGO PM me and we can play sometime.

P.S. Yes it is very popular still in fact it is the #1 card game in the States and old cards (Pre 4th ed.) are worth a lot and I mean 100's if they are rares of the right type. There are some from Alpha that go for over 8k even if they are in only fair/good cond.

Cards are still being made as always and tourneys are still happening. I mean it's always been such a nerd culture thing that it's hard to judge it as "popular". New set comes out October 1st according a friend.

I think I remember browsing this site as a kid. Are they any good in terms of shipping and stuff? The search functions are really fucking awesome though, it's the easiest way to build Magic decks and buy them I've seen.

They're not the cheapest around when it comes to shipping(at least not five years ago). But they're the most resourceful I know when it comes to building and buying full decks.

Shipping costs ain't too bad, I think it's $1.50 per the first single card a 10 cents for each following card. So a 60 card deck would cost $7.40 shipping. And with most commons/uncommons under a buck you can build a master deck for like under $20. Not too shabby. Orders over $50 also are free shipping all the way for single cards.

Trollandtoad, abugames and starcitygames are all good places to buy cards. They even feature a deckbuilder function.
