yeah it is a real pain in the ass to get it to work on a PC. He is right though that in a way its like a demo version because theres a whole lot of software you can't really run. I was able to get Garage band working though after I plugged in an external soundcard, so that was fun

Someday I'll be able to afford a real Mac

He's right. A PC with the exact same specs as a Mac will not run OS X as smoothly as the mac.

what about the other way round?

Boot camp probably runs XP more stable than it does on a native PC chip architecture. lol

Bootcamp runs Windows natively. The biggest thing that Bootcamp provides is a BIOS legacy mode because all Intel Macs use EFI, whereas non-Apple x86 PCs have been stuck with the basic BIOS for over 20 years. PowerPC Macs like my iBook use OpenFirmware.

I know Intel mac runs windows using its chipset and not emulated.

I've never really fiddled with my ibooks firmware can you recommend any modifications I could do or and links please. Im running a ibook G3 800 with 256mb RAM OSX 10.2.8 (hopefully if i get more RAM, i've been told it will run 10.4)

I'm running 10.4.10 on an ibook with only 600mhz under the hood, but I've maxed out the ram. it runs pretty smoothly. compared to how it ran pre-upgrade. I suppose that is to be expected.. my point is, Yes, moggymatt, you can run 10.4

I'm really broke at the moment and I have to save a lot of money because I want to go to university next year (lame excuse but that's it). I also have to purchase an APP for my MacBook first. =)

So, basically I'll be getting it asap, but I'll buy it when I'll have the money.

Looks like Leopard x86 is going to be released tomorrow (with a slim chance for tonight).

Guess I'm gonna be a bit busy this weekend.
