With the new m58 firmware I can confirm that the cheat function for ST works, but the RTS is still broken. Using unpatched ROM and 4GB SDHC.

I am at my parents right now, so I can't check. But with this new update, is SR/RTS still broken on most/all games? I have been using touchpod since the update because I wanted to play spirit tracks without patching my rom. Like, would I be able to play NSMB with SR on sakura?

Not on v1.44 3rd Edition. You'll have to downgrade to 2nd Edition if you want to use SR.
