Should I even have this thing enabled? I mean, the only way I could get a corrupted file is if I shut off the game while it was saving or if I downloaded a corrupted file, which WinRAR detects for me. Sure, I run a homebrew compatibility list, but all the homebrew is compressed so, as I said, WinRAR has things covered. What are some of the dangers if I disable Disk Check and should I disable it?

the risk is that if you use glitchy homebrew like DSO you might not notice in time that it's corrupting your files.
tough turning it off doesn't make your m3real any more vulnerable than other flashcarts.

And you can always use Windows check disk which not only detects corrupted files/clusters but also fixes them when possible. I'm not sure how do you access it, though, as I use Linux.
