Hacking M3 Real, no slot 2 cart?

I saw an M3 Real at my local game store for $60 US. But the package was tiny, about half the size of a pack of cigarettes, but it was definitely a factory issue blue M3 box. The person working there said it didn't come with a rumble pack. So, this is kind of a rip-off, huh?

Definately a rip off as you can get it @ dealextreme for around $34 with a ram/rumble pak
