well more or less the MicroSD cannot be loaded
it just hangs on the loading screen when sakura is starting up
holding A doesnt load the double loader either

I then put the card in the computer to reload sakura and the computer cant detect the card either...
is there anyway to fix this?

Sounds like the MicroSD may be dead. Try using the Panasonic formatter and hope it forces the computer to recognize it and begin formatting the card.

Yup, try to reformat...had something like that once with an SD-Card..reformatting worked.
(Based that the PC sees the Card, but you can't open it..if it not sees the card...maybe try another one?)

I put it in my phone
it displayed the card as 0kb used and free

I hit reformat and a sec later it came up with an error, formatting failed

pansonic formatter couldnt find the card
the computer detects the card though (makes a noise when I plug it in)

hope kingston will honor their warranty...

kinda pissed I have to set up everything again now
at least I backed up my saves last week

the incident started last night
was reaplaying a case in PW:T&T
finished it and went to go load a different PW game, I then noticed AJ:AA the icon appeared like a NDS homebrew file (not its normal icon) tried it didnt load and crashed
went to my comp and put a new one on and it worked fine
this time however there were 5 more games that appeared like that (the games werent that good so I said I would fix it later) anyway loaded up the first PW game and my save didnt load (I was like wtf)
I plugged by card back into my comp and put my backup save on and loaded it up again, this time the rom doesnt load and crashes

frustrated now I go to load up crosswords ds, it doesnt load
none of the games load anymore
and then sakura just stops booting, I try to the boot menu by holding down A, still nothing
and now my computer cant access the card anymore...

I had the same problem but the SD card just needed to be reformatted and my SD card reader was broken and needed replacing. So I brought a new SD reader and reformatted the SD card and it was good as new

yea it sort of acting (on the computer side) of when the mcirosdhc reader that came with the m3 real
the card however still loaded everything on the DS, I bought a reliable sandisk sdhc reader and has since worked fine

its not the reader this time though
my phone should have been able to format it then

its kinda funny though, I bought the card last april in 2008, on the 16th
took a week to get here, pretty exactly one year ago
I smell conspiracy...
anyway if they wont accept the warranty (they better >:0 )I can get a nice 8GB card for $18

Your memory stick is not faulty in any way. If your memory stick was broken then it would have said memory stick not found.

all you need to do is re-upload the system file on your memory stick, not your current one, a new one

Trust me it works my screen sometimes does that when i boot up

Burn a linux live CD, boot your computer using it,
it SHOULD read the card, then copy everything onto your harddrive,
and finally, try the partition manager to reformat.
That saved me more than once.
Except I also have linux as a second OS, so I don't need a liveCD

Well I'll be honest with you. Although my own experience with the microSD reader has been good, I know from experience that those readers that comes with the flash cartridges tend to be very low quality and can corrupt your microSD(HC) cards. I would recommend not using it and getting a separate card reader.

The one that came with my M3 DS Simply works fine, the one that came with my friend's R4 DS corrupted his card, and the one that came with my friends NinjaPass X5 was DOA.

Why did you hang up? Calling again probably wouldn't have gotten you a native English speaker.

small update
after a week they finally sent an email saying they sent my info to the warranty dept for a new card
and would send me the shipping information in a few days
which will probably amount to another week...

Ah, so there's finally been some progress. Thanks for keeping us up to speed.

They're certainly not in a hurry to get your case sorted out, are they?

Sucks that it might take a while until you're up and running again, but look at it this way - the Kingston warranty is actually for real. At least you won't have to needlessly splash more cash on another microsd card...
