Hacking M3 Perfect Lite Save Game Issues

I just ran across this problem with my M3 Perfect Lite Slot 2 .... i have a 1 gig micro sd card in it... i play a game (like final fantasy VI), save the game while playing... turn off the DS... then when i start the game again, it acts like i've never played it before, no save game. i've copied the games over using the game manager so the .dat save game file is in the ndsave folder ... i can't figure out why it's not saving...

anyone ever see this problem?
