    1. solve 0553 problem, now you can use fastboot
    2. solve 0555 problem, now GM can auto enable force R/W
    3. 0556,0559 can be convert in fastboot
    4. improve "GBA Linkage" function
    5. add "GBA Linkage" option. You can set which game need "GBA Linkage",and M3 will auto determine which GBA game need. (???)

Note: how to use "GBA linkage"
1.When you use GM transfer NDS ROM,you need enable "GBA linkage" option.
    2.transfer GBA ROM
    3.Power on your NDS.
In M3 NDS menu, choose which GBA ROM need to "GBA linkage" then press A.
4.choose which NDS ROM need to "GBA linkage" then press A.
5.M3 will load NDS ROM,NDS SAVE,GBA ROM,GBA SAVE to complete "GBA Linkage"

Try using 1x DMA, not 4x.

I had the feeling that this is for games that transfer data from/to GBA/DS, such as the new Pokemon games and Harvest Moon.

Since normally you don't use up the GBA slot, they added stuff in those games that allow you to transfer data to and from the DS game to the GBA game.

I'm supposing that this will allow you to do it, considering most flashcards use the GBA slot.

Hey, why did the Fastboot option disappear? Is it integrated into 4xDMA now? That kind of sucks for games like NSMB which support one but not the other...

1xDMA is now Fastboot with 1x. and 4xDMA is Fastboot with 4x.

Ya just do Normal, and it won't highlight 1 or 4x.

    They just simplified it [IMG]

Yes, this is exactly what it does. On top of that, it actually works too [IMG] . I got it to work with Advance Wars : DS and both Advance Wars 1 and 2. This is what I did:-

The Advance Wars 1 and 2 GBA roms were already on the cart. I used the new manager to load Advance Wars DS with the following settings : 4xDMA, Trim Rom, Soft Reset and the "NDS/GBA Linkage" box checked. A box appeared on the Linkage tab saying "Is a known DS linkage game".
After writing to the card, I put the miniSD card back into the M3 and powered on. Went into "Games" in DS mode. Highlight the GBA rom that you want linkage functionality for, and press X and then A. If done correctly, the screen should flicker. After that, select the DS rom and hit A twice to load the game. It should give you the message that it is loading the save data for the GBA rom, and then the DS rom. Saving worked perfectly like this as well.

This is a pretty cool function, even if it isn't super useful. I havn't tried it with Band Brothers yet, but I assume that it should work. It doesn't seem to be working for Kirby. For a full list of games that use this feature, just in case anybody wants to try it, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ninte...ith_GBA_linkage

Also, before anybody says it, this will not make Opera work. The required GBA cart for Opera has extra RAM built into it, so its a hardware problem. There is a slight chance that the M3 team might correct this in the future by rerouting Opera's request at the M3's built in RAM, but I don't think is is high on their priority list so don't expect it.

Just to make sure, you did rewrite the Band Brothers rom using the new game manager, right?

For some resaon GM27A will not work for me. I try to enable 4xDMA, Soft Reset, Trim Rom on roms I know for sure use it but it will not edit the rom and just make the .dat file. When I try to play the game it loads it like I had not run it through GM. Any ideas?

Just going to note that Megaman ZX failed to load my save (would black screen after load and I was at E-7 I think to be specific) when it was writen with Fast Boot 4x DMA. Safe Mode is still working fine for me though so no biggie.
